LiveStack June 2025
Prize announcement, a brand new London event, our first international retreat, all the news from the LiveStack Tour, and a special invitation just for you...
Hello lovely LiveStackers
June appeared all of a sudden, didn’t it? Or is it just me?
Many of you who also read my words over on Anatomy of a Decision will have seen my recent post where I offer a wholehearted thank you for the kind patience I’ve been so grateful for, because life has made words quite hard to find in recent times. (If you haven’t seen it, and would like to, it’s here). I know I’ve been quiet here at LiveStack too, but I really am so thankful that you’ve stuck around.
I know that creativity is a healing force for many of us. Community can be, too. Both can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and just a little more than we feel able to face at times. But please know that while LiveStack is a place where in-person connection is celebrated, it’s also very much a safe place for the introverts among us. For me, creativity thrives on balance. The inspiration I an infused with from sharing physical space with other creatives is incredibly special. And the extended alone time I need to recalibrate afterwards is where the ideas simmer and come to life. None of us are exactly the same, but I’d hazard a guess that a need for balance is pretty universal.
So with a new month, comes a new host of opportunities for those times when getting out in the world is our calling. The brand new directory is here and can be downloaded for free below.
For the first time ever, the directory features an international event.
is inviting us to spend a long weekend with her in Limousin, France at a creative writing retreat. It sounds like a glorious mix of quiet space to think and write, with time to gather and share ideas, in the presence of the High Priestess of Hype (Yourself) herself. I’ve signed up already and I hope you might, too. There’s also a very exciting London project being put together by author, mentor and all round gorgeous human
called Write Up. Having enjoyed a wonderful evening at one of her regular events recently, this grand summer meet up I know is going to be unmissable. To read more from the May meet up, and even get a glimpse of the event in an exclusive video diary, as well as interviews with
and live from the Substack - With Ease Retreat, and with live from her studio artists’ books workshop, the full round up from the LiveStack tour can be found below:Live from the Substack Writers West London Meet Up
I am writing today with a full heart and a tired body.
Prize announcement
Thank you to all who completed the recent survey to let me know what you want from LiveStack. One of the big themes that came up in responses was desire for a community to facilitate informal local meet ups and events, so I’m pleased to be able to share that this will be a key feature of the brand new members area. Make sure you’re subscribed and check your inboxes this week to learn more and for your exclusive invitation.
As a thank you for completing the survey, there was one prize of a completely free annual membership (which will be activated on launch day), with the winner randomly selected from all entries. Massive congratulations to our prize winner and therefore very first LiveStack Member:
