To me, Substack feels like a very special place - the community here is like no other online space I’ve ever found. So what happens when that same community meets in real life? Actual magic, that’s what. And that, lovely friend, is why LiveStack exists.
Take me, for example. There I am, near the middle of that photo above, standing with fifteen gorgeous humans who happen to also write on Substack. For the most part, an introvert, but on that glorious evening not only did I venture out to the Big Smoke (London) from the safety of the Midlands village where I can usually be found hibernating, but I read a poem, out loud, in front of a crowd, for the first time ever. Alongside a bona fide journalist (
) , an award winning entrepreneur and doctor (), and a real live published author () no less! If you’d told me this time last year I’d be doing things like this… well I’d have honestly thought you’d confused me with someone else. But I really did it, and there’s even video evidence to prove it:
And do you know what? I loved every second!
And then I needed to lie down for a few days to recover from all the excitement.
Don’t worry, though. You don’t have to jump two feet first in like I did. LiveStack is about letting you know what’s on. So that if you feel like heading out and meeting up with fellow creatives, perhaps taking a workshop, or relaxing at a reading retreat, then the opportunities are there waiting. And yes, of course, most of these events already exist, and you can find out about them directly and go along without needing LiveStack at all. But if you don’t know where to look? That’s the beauty of LiveStack. A one-stop directory of live, in person creative events.
Why should I subscribe to LiveStack?
Because, as well as being where the cool kids hang out (lols, I’ve never been cool in my life, but seriously, some of the gorgeous humans I’ve met at LiveStack events really are the coolest)…

The LiveStack Directory is sent out to subscribers each month, along with news updates and event features. It’s packed with opportunities, has live links directly to booking pages and has all the details you need to know, all for free.

LiveStack is a space where you can bring your event to the attention of a community who are excited to know more about what you have to offer. Hosts who are signed up as free subscribers to LiveStack are welcome to complete this event submission form:
to have your event included - for free - in the next month’s directory.
Any in person event for creatives is welcome - from book signings to embroidering bodice linings, and everything in between.
